Our History
Surfy's Home Curing was started by its founder Paul Le Surf ("Surfy" to his friends) in 2008. Paul left the UK in 1983 aged just 17 years old and started training in Italian cuisine in Amalfi, Italy where he also learned to cure amazing and delicious Italian charcuterie too.
Upon returning home to the UK in the late 80s, Paul continued to work as a chef in many Italian and British fine dining restaurants for many years.
Finding that cures and seasonings were generally unavailable to chefs and home curing & cooking enthusiasts, in June 2008 he decided to launch "Surfy's Home Curing and Sausage making Supplies", and re-branded it as simply "Home Curing UK" in 2022.
Since then, the business has gone from strength-to-strength and it is still a family owned and operated business today.
